Sister George presents a day of absolute beginners Tango. Why? Because Argentinean same-sex tango passion has changed the lives of thousands of gays and lesbians throughout the world. If you can walk, you can tango. Come on your own or with friends. If it rains we will be indoors. No spiky heels please.
Argentine Tango is as diverse in its interpretation as the gay and lesbian community is in its personalities, tastes and presentation. There is no less passion in someone in Blundstones, jeans and a tshirt than in someone in a tuxedo with a red rose. Argentine Tango recognises this and looks beyond the music, the place and the presentation and is expression over regulation.
With all our events for ChillOut we selected several criteria: everyone can participate, take something away with them, enjoy a laugh, meet new people and other members of the community, but most of all feel welcome and included. Argentine Tango met all of these for us and more.
Sessions go for one hour. 12 people per session.
Session Times: 11am/12.30pm/2pm/3.30pm/5pm
Bookings advised.
